Consultation on the Next Generation of National Qualifications in Scotland

The Scottish Government’s consultation on the next generation of national qualifications comes to an end on 31 October 2008.  The consultation sets out a range of proposals designed to ensure that National Qualifications fully reflect the Curriculum for Excellence and equip Scottish young people for the demands of the twenty-first century.

The Scottish Government want to hear from everyone with an interest in the education of young people in Scotland including teachers, employers, parents, young people and carers.  We have, of course, approached parent councils throughout the consultation process and have received a number of responses.  It is, however, important to the development of national qualifications that we encourage as many responses as possible both from parents representatives and from parents themselves.
